"Dream of a Bird" is Kaysn's second EP on Stresslos Records in Hamburg, with songs estimated to date from 2005-2017.

The album should sound a bit more electronic, instead of long rows of chords I experimented with different rhythms and sometimes drum'n'bass elements. Added to this was the collaboration with DJ Plattitude, who performed scratches on two songs.

A friend rightly called my music “space music”, others “elevator” or “music on hold”. In fact, I'm always on the lookout for spacey and wacky sounds. For the EP "Dream of a Bird" I mainly used the synth plug-ins Absynth, Massive, Blue and Octopus (in Logic). I got the samples in this album from Logic and the internet.

At least the bass line, synth chords and lead voices were still handmade, i.e. I played them with a MIDI keyboard. I produced the beats with iDrum.

Also at this point many thanks to islelaidbacksound.de for all the mixing and mastering work and the creative and technical support!!

Incidentally, the idea for the cover came from one of my dreams, in which I was being flown through the air by a small bird, connected to a string. My wife Ronja was so kind and artistically translated my dream into this beautiful cover. Many thanks to her!
By the way, she gave me the name of the song “Girl from Uranus” because she got into a quasi-ecstatic mental state when she first heard the song.
